Job Overview
As a Video Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist at NLC, you will play a critical role in our video production workflow by conducting final internal reviews before videos are delivered to clients. This role is responsible for ensuring that every video meets brand standards, follows the client brief precisely, and is technically flawless across platforms.
This position requires a sharp eye for detail, a strong understanding of video layouts and platform requirements, and a methodical approach to quality control.
What You Will Be Reviewing
You will review a wide range of video content, including:
- Social media ads and short-form videos
- Motion graphics and animated content
- Long-form videos such as interviews, podcasts, and educational content
- Multi-platform video variations (1:1, 4:5, 9:16, 16:9)
- Videos with voiceovers, on-screen text, and music
- Final exports prepared for client delivery

Responsibilities
Video Quality & Technical Review
- Review final video renders to identify technical issues such as black frames, visual glitches, rendering artifacts, and incorrect aspect ratios.
Ensure videos meet platform-specific technical requirements, including format, resolution, and aspect ratio.
Brand Consistency
- Verify correct application of brand elements, including fonts, colors, logos, imagery, and overall visual style.
- Ensure brand guidelines are consistently followed across all video elements.
Brief & Instruction Compliance
- Cross-check videos against client briefs to confirm correct visuals, imagery, music, and sound assets are used.
- Ensure on-screen copy matches approved content exactly.
- Verify that timecodes and specific client instructions are followed accurately.
Text, Layout & Safe Zones
- Review text alignment, spacing, and overall layout.
- Ensure all critical elements remain within platform-specific safe zones.
- Confirm readability and visual hierarchy across devices and formats.
Voiceover & Copy Review
- Proofread on-screen text for typos, inconsistencies, or formatting issues.
- Review AI-generated or recorded voiceovers to identify mispronunciations, pacing issues, missing lines, or incorrect emphasis.
Internal Feedback & Collaboration
- Provide clear, concise, and actionable feedback to editors and producers.
- Document issues and required fixes in an organized and consistent manner.
- Collaborate with internal teams to uphold quality standards and continuously improve QA workflows.
Requirements
- Experience reviewing or working with video content in roles such as editing, production, or quality assurance is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow briefs, guidelines, and checklists precisely.
- Familiarity with social media and digital video formats (1:1, 4:5, 9:16, 16:9).
- Basic understanding of video production workflows, terminology, and delivery processes.
- Strong written communication skills for clear internal documentation and feedback.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating closely with internal teams.
