We’re seeking an AWS-savvy DevOps Engineer to help us build, deploy, and optimize cloud infrastructure that supports our rapid growth and exceptional customer experience.
Objectives of This Role
- Architect, implement, and maintain secure, scalable AWS infrastructure to support production, staging, and development environments.
- Automate deployment pipelines to improve speed, reliability, and repeatability of releases.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize systems for performance, cost efficiency, and uptime.
- Partner with development teams to ensure infrastructure and application deployments follow best practices.
- Continuously improve operational processes through automation, tooling, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- AWS Infrastructure Management: Configure, monitor, and maintain EC2, ECS, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, and other AWS services.
- CI/CD Automation: Build and maintain pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions to streamline development and deployment workflows.
- Security & Compliance: Implement IAM best practices, manage secrets, enforce encryption, and maintain system hardening in line with security standards. Implement good WAF rules to increase the security of the system.
- Monitoring & Incident Response: Use tools like CloudWatch, Sentry, Posthog to monitor performance, troubleshoot incidents, and perform root cause analysis.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Manage AWS resources via Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a DevOps engineer or cloud engineer, with a heavy focus on AWS.
- Strong proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation).
- Solid understanding of networking, load balancing, and CDN management.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git/GitHub).
- Familiarity with Docker and container orchestration (ECS or Kubernetes).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of Trunked Based Development (TBD).
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer certification.
- Experience with cost optimization strategies in AWS.
- Familiarity with security frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, etc.).
- Background in supporting SaaS applications at scale.
- Knowledge of serverless application design using AWS Lambda.
