Getting Started with NLC

Follow this step by step guide to get the most out of your subscription


Welcome to your New Design Team

We're creating your account!

You will receive an email from our support team any moment notifying you that your account is ready to be used. Follow the link in the email to be directed to your new Asana page.

Please note: During our business hours of 8AM to 4PM EDT US, Monday – Friday, accounts are created within 10-15 minutes after sign up. Account creation on weekends may be subject to delay and will be set up first thing Monday.


Step 1:

Getting Started In Asana

An email will be sent to the email address you used to sign up, giving you access to a private Asana page within our Asana organization. This will be your customer dashboard. Place new orders, review designs and communicate with our team all in one application. 

The Asana Inbox tab will show you the most recent updates on any of your request. An orange indicator will notify you of new updates.

It is important to make sure you have clicked onto your project page before submitting any new requests.

Add a new request by clicking on "+ Add Task", adding a title and filling out the details.

Design brief questionnaires which will be copied and pasted into new design request.

A Google Drive is created for your account. All final designs and source files will be uploaded to the drive and the link will be found here.

Add Brand Profiles to your account for any number of brands. 

Access an exclusive design library filled with thousands of our previous designs. Draw from them for inspiration or use them as examples for your next design. 

Contact us here for support. Message your team leader or use one of our many forms of communication.

Comment to add designers you have been successful with and would like to work with more often. Designers can also removed if they have not been successful for you.

Check your current plan, next renewal date, manage your subscription and join our affiliate program.

Choose to view only incomplete projects, completed projects or both.

Step 2:

Creating a Brand Profile

Brand Profiles can be created for each one of the brands we’re going to design for. Agencies can create a brand profile for each of their clients.

These profiles help us better understand the brands we are creating designs for and makes briefing easier for our clients.

PRO TIP: Adding inspirational images and videos to each brand profile can give the designers a good idea of the creative direction

Step 3:

Understanding How We Work

In order to deliver consistent volume and accurate turn around times to all of our clients, we developed a rigid scheduling and workload system. This allows us to offer a “predictable” turn-around process for better planning on both, our end and yours.

We do this by allowing “2 Active Projects” per subscription. This means we are working on 2 projects at all times, per the amount of subscriptions on your account.

For example, 1 subscription allows 2 active projects, 2 subscriptions allow 4 active projects and so on. Adding more subscriptions helps you get through more volume by adding more designers to your account.

The number of Active Projects does not represent the amount of projects you will have delivered each day, but rather the amount of projects we will be working on at any one time.

Each request will be subject to its own specific turn around time, determined by the unique variables of each individual request.

TIP: If you find that your design queue is becoming longer than your needs require you can contact us about adding on additional subscriptions to increase the volume of work created for you at all times.

We can do A LOT, but there are some creatives we may not be able to service. Here is a list of everything we know we can help you with and some of the things we know our team is not the best at. If there is something that is not on the list, you can always reach out to us for more clarification.

Step 6:

Where to Get Support

We have a single area on your Asana that is dedicated to support. The Contact Us for Support tab in the Resources section will give you direct access to a support team member. 

Your Team Leader is on standby to help on any project you have concerns with. Simply tag their name in a comment, and they will get back to you in short time.

Step 7:

Refining Your Design Team

We assign you to a full team of capable designers. Each team consist of about 8-12 designers so there is a chance you will find a few that you really like. In this case there is an area titled “Preferred & Non-Preferred Designers” where you can comment the designers you would like to work with on a regular basis. 

On the flip side, there may be a designer that is not resonating with your vision. You can simply state that you would not like them to work on your account, and we will remove them from future work.

Ready to Make Your First Request

Now that you know how to set up and use your NLC account for the most success, it is time put us to work! 

The last and possibly the most important step is creating a great design brief. Design briefs give the designer everything they need to complete a design request effectively.
